Not bad at all, go outside and turn your fuel pin, 10 min.

i wouldnt go gearvenders bud they make some cool stuff but they break under some horsies plus you got alot in mods for driveshaft and i think transfer case

if i were you i would go to the junkyard or ebay find an od tranny without a lockup converter and build it,that eliminates your truck being down and saves you a ton of money.i ripped mine out sent it out and got the tranny rebuilt with all new hd clutches and steels shift kit and hd lock up converter with a lower stall for better response and more usable torque

i even thought about convertn my truck into a 5spd manual but just parts alone were 3600 bucks

jasonfriedlin 05-31-2007 06:32 PM

Gotcha, urs got a 4 speed?

bigrich 05-31-2007 06:39 PM

yup i have the a518 which uses the 727 tranny and the od which is the tailshaft makes it th a518. its the 4 spd

jasonfriedlin 05-31-2007 06:42 PM

Very nice, from what I hear, the 727 is tough. Mine seems together, just geared to low

bigrich 05-31-2007 06:43 PM

just tryin to give you some helpful hints and save you some money.dont get me wrong its a bitchin concept and youll get excellent mileage but damn that is a chance to take if you decide to wake that motor up and put injectors housing or all of the good stuff. you might say bye bye to that tranny

jasonfriedlin 05-31-2007 06:47 PM

Yeah, I appreciate it. U gonna turn yours up this weekend? I'm kinda enjoyin doin one step at a time, seein what each thing does

bigrich 05-31-2007 06:47 PM

i know the 727 is tough but i guarntee that you will blow it up unless you do the mods to it. trust me on that one i did.you need to have the baskets drilled out and they do some grinding on the inside.to make it flow more oil and give the converter more lube.:s:
