Sorry, to clarify, with the lock up switch it does lock in first. I tested it earlier(its sooo much fun to mess with) So yes I am sure.

Our trannys are built a little different though, but I don't remember my builder "moding" the electronics or anything. Possibly differs with tranny/engine?

Ah, so you do have a built transmission with a shift kit?

The only differences between your trans and my 05 is you have a TV cable and I have a TV motor. There may be some slight differences in the VB configuration also but not sure where that started. There are 2 TransGo kits, early and late 48Rx, it seems the late kit is allowing lockup in first while the early did not unless another mod was done. The electronics don't enter in to the equation, its the way the fluid flow in the VB is routed that does it.

Ah well, its all good if it locks then. You do have a billet input shaft, right?

Very true, and yes I have a billet input shaft. I would have torn the stock one to peices by now I'm sure!

My switch will lock the TC in ALL gears with my HTS VB.

It also WILL NOT prevent the downshift out of OD with hard acceleration.

That is why I (And others) want the capability to lock the trans in OD with the pin 6 mod for loading the truck on a dyno...

All-in-all this is the best mod that can be done for less than $10!

Hook it up the same way as the 2nd gens, tap the wire to pin #7 on the trans control plug, then add a 33 ohm 1/2 watt resistor between the switch and ground and you are good.

Do you have an RE trans or a RH trans?

On the RE round plug it should be pin #7 and marked on the plug.

On an RH its one of the 2 smaller wires but you will need a wiring diagram for your truck to find the correct wire. Same if you go by wire color.

You don't need the resistor unless the circuit is monitored the circuit for opens and shorts. If it throws CEL lights when you use it then you need the resistor otherwise you don't need it. Most of the olde trucks with PCM's did not need the resistor.
