Its actually a 175 if that makes any difference

Yes this is what I'm hearing.. I always thought the 215 was the Boss N***** but apparently this 175 is fine

it does make a difference.

there is nothing wrong with 175 or 160 pumps. or the 215 for that matter

But the 180 is better than a 175?

94 12valve 06-08-2010 09:50 PM

thats a topic that is very debatable ... some like the 160 and 175 pumps and make big power with them. Some like the 180 and also make big power with them. Others like the 215 and make big power with them.

My point being, if you set them up right they will all make power.

Thanks a lot! I'll prob just keep my 175's and call it a day.

why not send your 215 to a pump shop?

I thought about it, but to have flat tops put in benched and turned out. I would probably have more money in it than if I could just find a cheap 180.

I may buy another 12valve truck that my buddy has for sale. It's a 99 ext cab with a 5 speed and a 180 pump on it. I think I may just swap my 215 for that 180 and have it sent to the pump magician. Before any of you say dodge never put a 12valve in a 99 fret not. It was a 24valve auto but another friend of mine is getting the 47re for his truck and I'll be putting a straight stick in it. The engine has 380k on it but when I pulled it apart and resealed the engine it was in beautiful shape. It also has an HD tcase which i'll be swaping my LD for.
