Default Injectors

just wondering what the biggest sticks you can go with having stock turbo. i have heard 75hp is about as big as you want to go . true or fasle? please chime in. plus what about the RV275 injectors? i don't sled pull or race. just want a injector that will deliver more power but get o.k. milage and will not raise the roof with hot egts!!!!!!!!

I would give chris and jamie @ SDX a call for you injector questions/ goals.

That being said I really do not think there is a general size injector that is a "max" for the stock turbo.

i thought if your not pushing enough air then a larger injector does you no good but to roll alot of coal and have some really hot EGT'S.

well relatively speaking what would be the best injector that won't make it warm?

215s work pretty well. Really though the stock charger can't flow enough air to support a whole whole lot without seeing some impressive numbers on the gauge face. I know with mine when I pulled my plate out and fiddled with the for 2 minutes I could still wrap my gauge.

Agreed one mans "hot" is another mans "not bad".
I have had 2 96's that were basically twins except for how they were modded.
Same gears, trans, turbos, fuel plate and exhaust.
Truck 1.
Stock injectors and different delivery valves, but I don't know what delivery valves.
It would get very warm towing and the power came on hard and strong and smokey.
I had to get out of it on some hills, it was downright annoying.
Truck 2
140hp injectors and stock delivery valves....night and day difference.
The power is just as strong if not stronger but comes on much more manageably.
Temps are quite easy to keep in check, it will still smoke if I punch it from a dead stop but it clears up much quicker.

I would go with a used set of 90's or 140's and try to find a used turbo.
You can buy a plain new s300 rather economically.
It's when you get into buying the HTT and other branded S300's and such you get into the big money.
HX 35/40's hybrids can be had economically too.
They are sort of "old school" now but do work well.
Injectors aren't too bad about using more fuel....your right foot is whats bad about using more fuel.
With stock injectors you can mash it and it won't dump enough fuel to cause it to drop alot of mileage.
Bigger injectors WILL LOL

Th erv275 are 24v injectors, and if you have a maunal transmission (the 215hp pump) those injectors are decently size for your turbo, if you have an auto look for some 215hp injectors.

215 or 5x0.012 are about the highest you want to go on a stock holset
