Turbo suggestions .
I have done lots of searching around and I'm looking for some suggestions. I'm working on my 96 3500 5 speed. I'm looking to keep my exhaust brake so I was thinking about going the old hx35/40 hybrid route . I have 191's fuel plate and tuned afc . It runs very well with the current set up but I'm going to need more air if I start going further . The only reason I would go this route is to retain the Jacobs exhaust brake I love how good it works .what are your thoughts fellas

A super b turbo or something similarly sized would probably be ideal for you. 60-62 mm with a 65 turbine or maybe a 68 if you have plans to grow. Not sure about the exhaust brake but I'm sure them make ones that attach to aftermarket turbos. A 35/40 hybrid is a ok turbo but the tech is far out dated and easy to over fuel. It's basicallly preference but a new tech turbo will perform far better and give more room to grow.

I agree with you . I'm having a hard time finding a turbo that will work with the exhaust brake . It is a Jacobs the type that replaces the cast elbow on the 35 . I don't have the loot to get one of the down stream brakes . I had a super b on my old truck . Great turbo all around no doubt
