Default A/c suction and return line install difficulty

Finally tracked down a freon leak- compressor, liquid line, and accumulator have all been replaced. Rubber hose going from the back of the compressor to the condenser is leaking pretty bad. This is sold as the 2 lines together- getting to the back of the compressor to remove the bolt seems simple I am wondering how tough it'll be to remove from the condenser area- any special tools? Unit was evacuated and recharged one week ago when other parts were put in- would I be able to add freon myself to bring system to the right pressure or would it be necessary to evacuate it all over? Thanks in advance!

Youre gonna have to evac the system again. There's no gettin around that.

You can add freon your self, I always a can with oil and the rest just freon. They have cheap gauges now that come with 1 can and you can use recharge cans for the rest, with same gauge and hose.

Call me crazy- I decided before I spent $150 on the lines I'd try to replace the o-ring where the leak looked like it was coming from- pulled my intake out and fender plastic to get a good view- noticed my suction line (that goes from back of compressor to the front of the truck) was touching and running along the large hose below it. Heater hose? That sucker was hot! Carefully bent the tubing coming out of the back of the compressor so the line had some clearance over the hot line- refilled with freon to correct level. I've ran my ac for about 3 hrs now without any issues all cold air! I find it hard to believe that this small tweak is the answer to my problem but I haven't had this good of results from doing anything else. Anyone heard of this?
