More than likely, no.
It may be tied into the trucks harness to make the trans downshift at different points. But that does not mean the trans has been upgraded

What is the power goal with your truck? That will determine what to do with your transmission. If your not looking for all out amazing power, but a healthy increase, you could do a torque converter and valve body. Depending on who's you choose, $2000 plus labour. Or, if you want to go wild and crazy, $8000 for a complete transmission.

ya probably not go that crazy($8000), I dont want to do to much and have been looking into the torque converter. thinking about going with edge juice with attitude and the cts screen, a single stack and down the road a torque converter. with an upgraded body valve. main short term goal for now is 300 to 400lbs of torque and 100 to 200hp. long term would be the $8000 tranny and much more.

You could do the T/C and Valve body now, and upgrade your internals later. If you can do the labour, you can save a lot of money.

ya thats the issue, I am not very familiar with diesels other then I have wanted one for the past couple years. I have owned plenty of cars starting from N/A to turboed cars. but I wanted to get out of that and start a new style of life.
