You need a good pusher pump, a fuel pressure gauge, and a draw straw to fix yourself up real nice... and hopefully for your sake your vp still has a few good years left in her.
what fuel pump system do you reccomend? I will get it..

an inline fuel pressure gauge that is left intact on the system? or one that is used episodically?

You typically want one that you can constantly monitor so an intact one is the best. One the vp you always want to know how the little effer is doing.

Either, both are very good. You have guys from all over that will testify and swear by one or the other. It's really up to you and what you need/can afford although they both run about the same, depending where you get it from. But right now you need a permanent FP gauge so you know what your vp is doing.

I went with raptor for the SIMPLICITY... no special filters or anything like the AirDog (Raptor is made by AirDog, anyways) and as far as fass, I couldn't tell you but I haven't heard anything bad. All 3 are solid choices

I just checked the pressure at the pump inlet..it is 8 #..so it looks like the lift pump is shot. I take it in Monday for replacement..hope it didn't ruin the injector. I just checked at idle not above idle

The Raptor looks pretty decent and looks strong and reliable....don't you think?

Yea, it's pretty darn good, or so I've read/heard. But one of my buddies says he doesn't like his, for some reason or other. But it hasn't left him stranded yet, with all his hotrodding, that's sayin somethin.

Never hurts to check the clamps on those every now and then. I do it at every oil change.
