01 cummins electrical
I have an 01 cummins w/6 speed. decided it don't like to run. while driving once warm the tach jumps then dies. checked out fuel pressure and was at 12 psi so since at low side of spec I replaced. didn't fix. plugged in Genisis and found crank sensor issue(01 does not have) so while talking with Cummins we decided to replace the cam sensor. Still does. cleaned all grounds and power wires. still dies. next step pump. sent in and had rebuilt. paper work came back and said bad head, rotor and controler. installed and still problem. I am thinking ECM but would like to know other thoughts.

I wouldn't that can be dangerous and bad for the pump... He is right, do the crank sensor. My '00 had it go, and other than my brother breaking it off in my block is was easy fix

And I got my sensor from Cummins, I just don't trust what napa sells, especially after I got a window motor that only lasted a friggin year from them.

It's not a good idea to do this without the tool tho.
