Default Map sensor issue

Hey new to the forum. I have a 02 cummins 24v bone stock. It has a new lift pump My problem is I can be going down the road and it just die. I can cut the key off and start it right back up never hesitates or is hard to start. I have good fuel pressure throughout. It never loses power or sputters just dies like u cut the ignition. The only thing I can find is the map sensor reads 75hg without the truck even running it is constantly high we have checked grounds and wires even direct wired new wires to the ecu but still reads high any suggestions

Boost is measured in PSI not inches of mercury and I don't believe a map sensor would cause a spontaneous shut down unless the 5 volt ref wire shorted straight to ground causing a breaker in the ecm to open, losing signal to the VP44 and causing it to shut down like if you were just shutting it off
