4x4 problems
ok guys so I'm new here and don't know if I'm even posting in the right section.
But my 4x4 is not working. I haven't had the truck to long it used to work then one day i noticed it didn't. This is what I've done to check it:
I have checked all the vacuum lines that i know of to check.
Blew out dirt from the ones running from the front diff on the CAD unit back towards the trans.
I've taking off the cad system on the front diff and hooked it up to another vacuum line and the shift fork on the inside moves back and forth like its supposed to.
I did notice though that the 4wheel drive shift on the floor is easier to move back and fourth when putting it in 4wheel drive high and back into 2 wheel drive. Almost like it doesn't want to stay when pulled back.
Any ideas or other things to do or help would be greatly appreciated.

Check your bushings and linkages between the handle in the cab and the arm on the Tcase. I know mine are wore and it was working but has started jumping in and out. I have also pulled the unit on the front axle before and although it moved it wasn't moving far enugh to engage because the little jesus clip that holds the actuator in had broken and when I tried to engage it it would push the actuator partway out of the housing instead of push the fork across to engage it. Just a couple things i have run into.
