Default Fan clutch issue?

Recently while driving my truck (and sitting in idle) I've noticed this weird smell that almost smells like a burning transmission clutch (this truck is automatic). But today when i started the truck I started hearing a grinding and squeeling sound that would only last about a second then cut off as if the fan is hitting something. I checked and there doesnt seem to be any play in the fan. Any body have any ideas what this could be? Thanks!

I think i've located the issue. The AC clutch seems to be smoking hot to the touch and when i turn the AC on the grinding/squeeling speeds up.
