It depends on how much money you want to spend. A compressor upgrade for your stock turbo will drop EGT's and give you more power. Is your truck an auto or manual. That will help a bit to advise on a better turbo. Also what plans you have for the truck power-wise and what you'll be using it for. Give us some more specific info and we'll be able to help you better.
As for the POD's, they are good injectors for the price. But IMHO there are better ones out there. Also, your stock injectors will support around 300hp, so you may not need to buy new ones anyway.

POD's are the wrong spray pattern for both IC and non-IC. Its better to stay with the 145 spray pattern if you are IC. the stock non IC 89-91 will see only a slight increase from POD's.
I can get you 7x .0xx injectors in 145* or 155*. There are also cheaper options for the 145* IC engines.

With everything in my sig except the 3 in coolertubz, P/S intercooler, 60 mm GDS upgrade my truck would blow buy 1600* and keep going, after i put on those three things on now it won't get past 1250* no mater what i'm doing.
pulling 18,000 on a goosneck 1250* is it. flat footing up to 100mph 1200* is it.
with that said if you have a 5 spd or a good tight converter it could go higher i just don't know.

i have a 5spd tranny, and if you could give me a list of things that you would do first or what you did first in your sig 1stgenfarmboy that would be great, and also i am going to use this truck for pulling trailers for longer distances and also as a daily driver, thanks a bunch!!!!

OK i'll try this ....
1. pump adjustments, idle screw mia, full travel, 1 turn from runaway, tune your AFC, 3/16 timming, 366 spring, denny T pin.
2. lift pump upgrade of your choice with gauge. as long as you can hold 8 psi or above your fine.
3. i have DDP 80 hp but 5-14's would be good to. (not pods)
4. BHAF, BHFF.
5. 4 in DP with big exaust, my truck already had a 16 cm housing.
6. I gutted my grid heater but it's not needed, i don't know if it helps or not.
with this set up it was very very HOT HOT HOT.
7. P/S intercooler, 60MM GDS, and Tim Worlines 3 inch stainless cooler tubz all went in at the same time, so i don't know whitch one helped the most.
but after these i hit the sweet spot cause it ain't hot no mo.
i can hold 39 psi boost.

Darwin pretty much hit it on the head, except for one thing, and possibly the most important. GAUGES!
I know he just overlooked them, because he is nothing if not meticulous. At the very least a pyrometer is essential to keep an eye on EGT's, although if you're towing I'd be looking into boost, tranny temp., rear diff. temp., oil pressure, oil temp., fuel pressure, and coolant temp. as well. Unless you have gauges already...
