Hmm. Sounds like a nightmare. I dont know much about wiring, but since im on the thread i have a question myself (hate to start a new topic). I have a 93 cummins and all the electrical stuff seems to work fine except every once in awile my volt guage fluxuates significantly for about 5 min or so. the guy i bought it from has some haggard wiring jobs on the thing but evrything works. Should i be worried i might soon have the same problem Brice is having?

If its only the one gauge it may just be a loose connection in the gauge cluster or a loose one on the ALT

Any Dodge owner should worry about having those problems.

An intermittently fluctuating voltage gauge is oftentimes a voltage regulator flaking out. On a '93 it's in the $300 ECM, but you can retrofit a $10 voltage regulator off an earlier truck to do the same thing.
