Default Low oil pressure or ???

Apparently the truck only has 71k, its runs really good but the factory oil pressure gauge would move to the first white line and then stop so I replaced the sensor and it still does the same thing. What else could cause this problem besides faulty components or the unmentionable..

Sorry don't know the Dodge wiring so don't know if there is a ballast resistor/voltage regulator on the instrument circuits
Could be a faulty gauge or connections.
Best check would be a manual gauge to see the actual pressure then see what you need to do

^ This. I threaded a small mech gauge into the top of the oil filter base.

I got an old mechanical gauge from my buddy, so I installed it at the top of the oil filter housing and the gauge is reading 60 psi at idle
