Default frig sakes need diff help

Hey ya'll
So last week I swapped out my leaking mess of a rear pinion seal. When I crawled under the truck i noticed gobs of what looked like Jb weld around the pinion seal. So I chiseled it off and removed it. Removed the yoke. And removed the seal. I had to use a speedi sleeve on the yoke since it was pretty bitched. Threw the new seal on the diff and threw the yoke on. I didn't drive the truck for a few days. I took it out for a rip to work and back today and noticed the new seal had failed and spewed precious 75w90 all over under the truck. I threw the truck in neutral. Since I don't have a functioning parking brake due to the 1990-1977 parts mash up. And the seal was spinning with the yoke and wasn't holding on the diff. Im guessing he used the jb weld to keep the seal stationary... Does anyone have any idea how to repair this mess aside from replacing said dana 70?? Maybe a speedi sleeve? The last guy that had the truck was a bit of a moose when it came to repairs!! I'm pretty handy when it comes to repairs and my mechanical knowledge is pretty stout. But this ordeal has me stumped.
Thanks in advance

Its sucks when you have to fix something that someone buggered up.
I would pull the yoke back off get a new seal.
Check the pinion for radial and axial play.
Measure the seal and the bore of the seal housing.
if we are only talking about a +.002 clearance larger from wear Loctite 271 the green cylindrical lock tight (anarobic) will work.
If the bore in the housing is really chewed up use JB weld and put the seal in wet. It will work fine if everything is clean and dry. Let the seal sit and dry then install the yoke.
Kinda your only choice unless you want to try and find a odd size speedy sleeve which may be difficult.

For seating loose seals.... I find the holding power of Permatex's 'Ultra Black' pretty good... 'right stuff' is supposed to be even better.
