Default No fuel to injectors but fuel at supply..

Okay this is not my truck but my dads which is a 95 model he had a wreck about a month or less ago in the front end and just now got the bumper etc. back on. Oly thing as far as engine damaged was the fan was bent some and radiator, intercooler,ac cond. was replaced.

Problem- Got the truck together took it down the road and it quit.. finally got it started drove it home (3 miles) pulled in the drive and died again. He is getting fuel to the left side of the pump if he pumps the lift pump but none to the injectors or the other side of the pump at the overflow valve.

Lift pump=good (new)
Fuel filter=good-its getting fuel past the filter
Starting solenoid= good

Any help would be much appreciated- im kinda thinkin overflow valve could be bad. Thanks

Lift pump was bought less than two months ago. and when hand pumped it gets fuel to the inlet port. Im also figuring since it started then quit three miles later it had to get fuel up there to start with.

*update-
Called him and he drove it yesterday around like say 20 miles no problems. He was hauling cattle this mornin and he said it quit at a red light but started right back. Its kinda sounding more and more like a "part time" lift pump...

Its an automatic. Had trouble with it loping at idle a while back and advanced the timing to bout 17* idle is 1 mark below 1000rpm and there is 3 marks between 1000 and 0 so bout 750rpm i have a manual 96 and it idles at bout 850.

12V's should never - sept on very rare occasions- lope??????? 850 would be better for the auto and 750 better for the stick. have you guys deleted the fuel heater as it could be drawing air into the system with no visable leaks.
