so im new to this site.and i just bought a 1998 2500 club cab 5.9 12v
i paid 7500 of an older man who took very good care of it.
the problem i have is today i noticed i needed a clutch fan while checking to make sure it was locked up i pushed down on it and the motor turned over. harmonic balancer turned and everything and also the truck smokes.Hey i'm no diesel mechanic but i know enough that i think the motor should'nt turn over that easy but i might be wrong i'm just worried i bought the truck not even a week ago.ANy help would be greatly appreciated i have a 12 month old and alot of bills and don't have money to put into her.

truck has bully dog intake bully dog 4 inch turbo back ss exhaust.
bully dog stage 2 torque plate bully dog 215hp injectors,automatic with a bigger torque convertor.

Why is it not possible if the fan is froze up ?

 

whats up man! yes i stood on the bumper and pushed down as the fan is locked up and the harmonic balancer spun while i was pushing on the motor im not saying it was really easy but
it turned.

 

and the motor runs fine?

motor runs goood not alot of power though as i thought might be boost leak or at wot rack wasnt fully open starts decent in the morning im in mass so its a little cold.like i said im no mechanic im learning about the diesels as i go and i dont think that should happen.

what color smoke? does it have bunches of blow by? pop the oil fill cap while its running. lots of pressure coming out?

 

Im at work but the smoke is like a haze blueish grayish
But the dodge mechanic said you can crank with the hand but idk i find it hard to believe
