he 351vgt on a 12v
I've seen people do he 351vgt turbo swaps on 12v p7100 and 24v vp44 cummins. Ive seen fleece performance makes a wiring harness for the 24v, but ive seen people ditch the electronics on the 12v and use air actuators. I have the 98 12v that has the obdII I was wondering if I would be better off with the wiring harness or with the air actuator.

I cannot remember the name of the thread, but in the "Show and Tell" section, there's a guy that has one setup on his 12v. He used an actuator IIRC.
Let me try to find it for ya.
Edit: It's mkriebs's "Project Rusty Revival"

Hope it helps in your decision making process. I haven't done much research on 'em to tell you anything. Just saw this the other day in another thread and figured I'd pass it along.

i did a bunch of reasearch on it yesterday and it seems to be worth it there was three main ways guys were hooking them up, one with a choke cable which was kinda rigged but worked good and you can still use the EB which is a plus, others where using springs to hold 12-15psi be for opening and others where using a pnumatic actuator which seemed to work well. i watch alot of video on it and the 12v with the vgt sound amazing let alone the spool up on them was very fast. im unsure as to how strong they are and how many pounds of boost they will hold up to though
