Really appreciate the picts and work!! Did you notice I have an Auto Shutdown Relay?? What the ghj@#? I am truely stumped and figured the Dodge gurus would have been all over this. I wonder if the manual trans trucks are similar to mine?? Does anybody know??

Something is definitely up here. I have a 96/auto and my PDC looks exactly like Onewhl750's. We need a VIN check here for sure.

The 8th digit of the VIN will be a "D" if it came with a diesel. Maybe just start there. Check the VIN with the door jamb sticker.

that PDC is from a gas truck, I have the same one in my 97 1500 stripper with a 3.9

!! UPDATE FIGURED OUT !!

After being confused and frusrated, I went to a local shop which is run by a ex-dodge cummins specialist. I explained all the problems and things I had found and showed him the pdc I have (without the relay). He looked at it and said " huh, then we won't worry about it, just splice in behind the battery box".

Well I did just that. I removed the air bx and spliced into the # 54 wire ( bottom row, left side, fourth from the mounting bolt). After sending it through a swith to ground I have the lock up switch!!

This splicing is much like the ones on the web regarding the 94-95 Cummins. I don't know if my truck is and odd ball or not. The truck is a legitimate '97 and if something was rewired or converted they did one @#$% of a job because it look and fits factory and seems untouched.

Thanks to everybody who chimed in on this.
