Default putting a 12 valve in a 99 - transmission problems?

I have a 99 with a blown engine, and a pretty nice 97 12 valve. I know the engine will match up to the tranny no problem, but what about the electronics in the tranny? anyone how to deal with that?

There shouldn't be a problem both the 1997 and the 2000 had the 47RE transmission.

So your thinking as long as I have the computer off the 97 ( I think it just runs the tranny anyway? ) I should be able to just swap em out and plug and play?

Yes, I have a 12 valve. If I look up a trans for mine they also sell them for 24valves aswell the computer only really runs the overdrive.
