Cab Swap HELP
Hello, I'm new to the forum so if I have this posted in the wrong section let me know. I also posted this question on another forum, just want to know if anyone has more thoughts here. Thanks.
I purchased a rough 1997 ECLB 4x4 manual 12 valve for cheap knowing that I didn't want to keep the cab. The truck ran and drove great and I knew someone parting out another truck. So, I'm in the process of swapping a 1998 12 valve QCLB cab onto a 1997 ECLB frame. The 1998 was originally an auto 2wd truck. I plan on using the wiring harness and computer from the 1998, that way I can use the updated dash.
I have the cab on the frame with all the wiring and plumbing complete. When I go to start it I get nothing. I tested power to the starter and I have 12 volts, but I have no power from the signal wire. Also when I hit the brakes all the lights on the dash go out. I can't think of any other issue right now, other than the batteries may be a little low. (But enough power to at least turn it over.)
I am thinking I either have a grounding issue or a short somewhere. Another thought is something to do with the auto to manual conversion making it unable to start. i.e. brake pedal switch. I do have the NSS grounded out right now to bypass that.
Been beating my head against a wall for a while now so any help will be greatly appreciated.

When I done my half ton conversion it was an auto as well. Have you tried touching the brown wire from the starter strait to 12v yet to rule out a starter issue. Make sure you have the nss righ . I don't remember what I did there but I completely bypassed it. Strait up by the fuse box I know that
