dana 80 axel shafts in a dana 70
hey guys the frame on my 3500 dump snapped on me plowing last season so for this season i decided to build another truck i had boughten a 96 2500 for parts a while back and have decided to switch everything over from the 3500 to this 2500 to make me a new dump/plow truck the only problem that im having is the front axel on the onld truck is shot its all rotted the mouts are falling apart so i was thinking untill i can find my self some new axels i would just pull the rear shafts and stick them in the dana 70 for the time beaing or would this not work at all?? would i be better off pulling the guts off the old rotten axel and sticking them in the newer axel housing the 3500 had 410 the good axels out of the 2500 have 356. id like to keep the 410 because its going to be a dump/plow truck dont plan on driving down the highway everyday.. any input or advice would be greatly appreciated
Thanks

ok Front axles are all 60's
the rears .. you could use the 4.10's out of the one that broke and install them into the new one .. as long as there both a dana 70 or both dana 80's .. obviously dana 80 gears wont fit in a 70 and visversa ..
3.55's are nice but you would need to match the gears to use 4x4
